Lancashires Best Wedding Photography 2018!
2018 ROUNDUP
Hey folks! It’s crazy to think that another year has flown by and that it’s 2019 already! Shouldn’t we all be wearing silver clothing and have flying cars by now? 2018 has been another amazing year and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing 62 super weddings all around Lancashire and beyond. When I started this little adventure I really didn’t see myself as a full time wedding photographer, but here I am, 200+ weddings later, and I’m still loving every minute of it!
It’s that time of year where I get to share a collection of images from all of my 2018 weddings. It’s such a tough thing to do, picking just a handful of images from each wedding, when you have so much to share! This year I asked a few awesome photographers around Lancashire to help me out with the selection process, getting them to pick the images that I’d culled down, to see what they were drawn to. It was super interesting to see what photos they would pick out and I think the selection really showcases what I love to capture at a wedding, natural moments with some natural portraits.
Looking back at 2018 - Awards and travel!
2018 saw me photograph at some amazing venues around Lancashire including some of my favourites like Ashfield House, Mitton Hall and Thornton Manor. It also saw me shooting at new places like Wyresdale Park, Soughton Hall and The Gilpin Lake house that were all stunning to work at.
I also got to continue exhibiting with the awesome Little White Books and grew my Great Northern Wedding Show stand from a smaller 2x1 meter space to a huge 3x3 meter space, that meant teaming up with The Woodmens Den to create a whole new stand that looks incredible and is a great way to showcase my work. As well as exhibiting with Little White Books, I’ve made it into their top 10 for the Great Northern Wedding awards! I can’t thank everyone enough for voting for me.
As a lover of the natural moment, it was a pleasure to join the 100 club with Photographers Keeping It Real. A site dedicated to wedding photographers showcasing their natural, unposed moments. Capturing a wedding is so much more than just the ring exchange, a first kiss etc. There’s all the little stories that take place between these and it’s important to find and tell these little moments and stories to really give a sense of the day.
I got to have some breaks away to Berlin, Vienna and Lisbon that were all amazing and I’d highly recommend them for honeymoons if you’re looking for a cultured city break instead of a beach holiday. So much to see and do at all 3 of these places.
Let the roundup begin! Here’s a selection, in no particular order, of wedding snaps from all my 2018 weddings that showcase what Project Valentine is all about!
