Christa and Aaron's Brockholes Wedding!

A BROCKHOLES WEDDING FULL OF COLOUR, WITH A HINT OF DINOSAURS. – CHRISTA AND AARON

When Christa and Aaron first got in touch with me about their Brockholes wedding in Lancashire, I was so excited – they were planning such a fun and colourful wedding with a hint of Dinosaurs. Christa and Aaron are the nicest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Bride and groom prep

I rocked up at Christa's family home, where the bride was getting ready, and it was so much fun, because everyone was in a good mood. Christa wore a stunning sequinned dress and Aaron wore a modern navy suit and they looked so awesome. The bridal party travelled in vintage car and camper van, while Aaron was surprised with a Jurassic Park jeep!!It looked so cool and turned heads all day.

Getting hitched

The wedding took place at Brockholes, and was a stunning ceremony on a floating island. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then the celebrations began.

After the ceremony

The wedding reception took place where the ceremony had been, over looking the lake, which they’d decorated with stunning flowers a with little dinosaurs hidden throughout. It was so unique.

It was a sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapés and cocktails, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. My favourite photo from the portraits is when we caught the last of the sun.

During the reception they had a photo-booth, which went down a storm. They also had the drinks coasters that clip onto your face that had people laughing and doing selfies. After the wedding breakfast they had some wonderful speeches, then the party got started and the couple hit the dance-floor. They also had confetti canons, which was a huge hit. They really add a special touch to a first dance.
